CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCEMENT
Satish Garimella is running for Morrisville Mayor

Hello! I’m Satish Garimella, your Morrisville Mayor Pro Tem. After more than two decades of community service and 10 years serving families on the Morrisville Town Council, I am honored to announce my intention to run for Mayor of Morrisville in 2025!

I’m running for Mayor because I believe our town deserves experienced and forward-thinking leadership—elected officials who can enhance our thriving economy, expand our amenities, maintain an affordable cost of living, and respect dissenting viewpoints. As your Mayor, I will continue to bring an analytical, community-centered perspective to bear on Morrisville’s most significant challenges. I will always listen to others so that all perspectives are appreciated. And while I would be proud to be the first Asian Indian American to be elected as Mayor anywhere in the southeast, my candidacy is not about me. It is about lifting up all of Morrisville’s residents and businesses.

Community service has always been a central part of my life. I am currently serving on the Boards of Directors for WakeMed Health and Hospitals, the North Carolina Museum of Natural History, the North Carolina League of Municipalities, North Carolina Workforce Education, and my own HOA, which is near and dear to me. I also advocate for Morrisville residents and businesses on regional, state, and federal levels. During my ten years as a Town Councilor, I have worked to establish open and constructive dialogue with all stakeholders, developing creative opportunities for Morrisville to prosper. I seek to look beyond my own perspective to strengthen Morrisville’s economy, keep residents safe, and seek solutions that meet our diverse community’s needs.

I believe my professional leadership and personable approach sets me apart. I always lead with transparency, integrity, and a dedication to putting residents first. Together, we can tackle the issues that matter most to you, ensuring that Morrisville not only thrives but also feels like home for everyone.

I would greatly appreciate your support. Together, we can continue to move Morrisville forward!

Stayed tuned as we make appropriate updates to our website over the next few months.
